| Preserving Our Downtown's Past and Planning For Its Future | Berthoud, Colorado — est. 1888 |
4th Annual Scarecrow Designs Downtown BerthoudFall 2006 Scarecrows were designed by students at Berthoud Elementary, Ivy Stockwell Elementary, 5th Street College Kindergarten, Little "T" Pre-school, Girl Scout Troop 645, home school students, and other creative and wonderful kids in Berthoud. Berthoud’s Cub Scout Pack 7 "planted" the scarecrows in barrels in front of shops, offices & public buildings on Mountain Ave from 1st to 10th streets, and at the Library, Community Center and Town Hall. Volunteer help was provided by Berthoud residents Eden Welker, Laurel Downer, David Baker, Aletha Smith, Lisa Bauer, and Scott Banzhaf. The Berthoud Public Library and the Bethoud Historical Society also helped. Gary Wamsley photographed the Scarecrows. The Main Street program is a volunteer-driven, downtown decorating, non-profit organization that welcomes participation and support in sprucing up downtown. Enjoy! |
